HAIR HABITS THAT YOU NEED TO STOP – HABIT #1

You’re not allowing your conditioner enough time to soak into your tresses. Let’s face it, you work in into your hair, stand there for about 10 seconds get bored and wash it out. Well, this is one habit that you need to nip in the bud, gals. Lather your hair in conditioner and leave for at least, yes at least, 5 minutes. We know it sounds like a hella’  long time but you and your hair will thank us for it in the long run.

When you have just stepped out of the shower with freshly washed hair, are you leaving it to air dry or are you brushing it whilst it is still soaking wet? If that’s a resounding ‘yes’ we are waggling our finger at you. Do you know how damaging this is to your poor tresses? Hair is at it’s most weakest state when it is wet so you need to ensure that you are taking as much care as possible.

Let’s face it – we all don’t have the time to sit and wait for our hair to air dry so most of the time we go grab the hair dryer. There is nothing wrong this this (of course) but if you turn up the heat to as high as it can go this will work to be detrimental to your hair in the long run.

The same goes for hair straighteners –  having the heat up full pelts ALL of the time without any heat protection is definitely going to cause some harm to your hair/hair extensions. So prevent any damage from happening by using your straighteners on a medium heat (if you are able to change the heat settings) and be sure to use a heat protectant when styling.

HAIR HABITS THAT YOU NEED TO STOP – HABIT #5

Not getting your hair trimmed often enough! In order for your hair to grow and remain healthy, you need to snip off the dead dry ends sort of every month, y’know? This will help keep your tresses healthy whilst encouraging growth, too. Just be sure to show your stylist how much you want taken off the ends to make sure that you don’t walk out of the salon with an unwelcome bob.
