straight vs curly which is best

A common question we are often asked is whether straight hair extensions will be ok for clients who do not have naturally straight hair, and the answer we give is nearly always yes. Lets explore why…

For many of us, when our hair is wet or left to dry naturally it does not dry straight, and will often have a kink/wave/curl to it.

Although our hair extensions are classified as straight, they are in fact more commonly referred to as natural wave. This means that if left to dry naturally they will dry with a wave, much like your own natural hair.

Why are straight better than curly hair extensions?
Straight hair extensions are a better option than curly hair extensions as when left to dry naturally they have a natural wave to them. No matter how many times you wash, dry and straighten the hair extensions, if left to dry naturally it will always revert back to a natural wave. With “curly” hair extensions, the curl has been placed in the hair artificially. This means that whilst at first the hair will be beautifully curly, over time this curl will drop out, and the hair will become incredibly hard to manage.

With straight hair extensions you are getting the best of both worlds, you can chose to leave the hair to dry naturally into a wave, or can easily wear your hair sleek and straight, or glam it up with some bouncy curls.

Easy to Curl
An additional benefit to straight hair extensions is that the hair will easily hold an artificial curl due to its inbuilt wave. Therefore is you decide that you want more than just a wave and curl the hair extensions with curling tongs or straighteners, the hair will hold the curl well without it dropping out or becoming frizzy.

The only time in which curly hair extensions would be necessary, is if your hair is ringlet curly. Any other hair type from straight to curly would be best suited to straight hair extensions due to their versatility and adaptability.
